ICC newsletter, week 45

Sunday, the 10th of November 2024

ICC SUNDAY SERVICES

This Sunday in ICC, we resume both adult and child services. In the adult church, Ravi will share a message entitled “Enough is Enough!” Our text is taken from the Book of Nehemiah 10:28-39.

The background of this passage comes from when the children of Israel returned from their 70 years of Babylonian exile. Under Nehemiah’s leadership, Jerusalem’s walls were rebuilt, and Ezra restored and dedicated the temple. After much reflection on their history, some Israelites bound themselves with a covenant never to forsake the house of God anymore. They bound themselves with a curse should they break this covenant.

They pinpointed seven particular areas that led to their constant downfall and spiritual backsliding. They made a firm decision, which can be paraphrased as “Enough is Enough!” We will find out what these critical areas of downfall were and why, after this covenant, Israel never again forsook God as a collective people.

Invite your friends and family to join us by forwarding this e-mail to them.
