ICC newsletter, week 11, 2025

This Sunday, 160325, ICC will hold regular adults’ and children’s services at Kingos from 13:00 to 14:30, Bragesgade 35, 2200 Kbh. In the adults’ service, Ravi will share a message entitled “Daylight Robbery!”

It is devastating to have a thief break into your property and take your belongings. I consider a tragedy when you are robbed in broad daylight and by force, as the robber threatens you often with your life.

Twice in my life I have experienced attempted gunpoint robbery. One was for the vehicle I was driving and another forced attempt to enter my property. These took place while I lived in a country where civil war was still ongoing, which was an added adventure in the mission field. Years ago, in civilised Denmark, we experienced a house break where thieves took away our valuables. No place is safe from debauched characters.

While the bible describes the devil (thief) as one who comes to “steal, kill and destroy”, Jesus came to give us “life and life abundantly”. (John 10:10) We are children of God who is a Giver. God warns us not to be a robber of Him. In Malachi 3:9, God accused the whole nation of “robbing” Him!?! This resulted in them being unproductive. We also have Churches today that are “robbing” man with religious scams. This evil has to be exposed too.

While we generally despise robbers, can a man rob God? Is that even possible? Sounds like daylight robbery to me. What does God mean when he refers to Himself being robbed by man? What implications does that have? How can we avoid being a robber of God, let alone man? Come and let us learn more this Sunday and “give to God what belongs to God and Caesar what belongs to Caesar”.

ICC is where you get in touch with God, others, and your divine destiny!
