SUNDAY SERVICE FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN
This Sunday, 020325, is a FASTELAVN Celebration for adults and children in a combined bilingual service in ICC with Kingos from 13:00 to 14:30 at Bragesgade 35, 2200 Kbh. Why do we celebrate this occasion, and where did the concept come from?
The Danish Fastelavn comes from the days before Lent, a solemn Christian observance in preparation for Easter. Some traditional churches practice this concept, but every evangelical church does not embrace it. It echoes the 40 days Jesus spent fasting in the desert and enduring satan’s temptation. It is also a time for solemn preparation before the weeks before Easter Sunday. Thus, the celebration is often marked with a pre-fasting period for some.
This Sunday, we encourage children to come dressed up in their favourite costumes, and adults are invited to do likewise. In an international setting, it could be a great opportunity to wear your favourite national costume. At ICC, we simply want to celebrate the fact that Jesus is the only One who can transform our outer man through our inner being via His Holy Spirit.
Come and preferably join us in person, as there will NOT be online streaming. The combined bilingual service will be followed by a beating competition, after which coffee, tea, festive pastries and sweets will be served as we enjoy wonderful international fellowship. This is truly a great opportunity to invite those who might think the church is a little “boring”. Let us surprise them. 🙂🙂🙂

- This 28th, from 19:00-22:00, ICC will have our first evening prayer meeting in Kingos. Come and join us for a time of testimonies, praise, prayer and coffee fellowship. Due to the Friday prayer meeting, there will be no midweek service on Thursday.

- Please note that on the last Sunday of March 30th, ICC, Kingos, and International Gospel Choir will have a special combined bilingual service at 10:00, followed by a lunch buffet for all. Please remember the time difference: service is at 10:00 instead of 13:00 just for that Sunday. Service with Gospel Choir, 10:00-11:30, buffet lunch from 11:30 thereafter.
